Using A Cotton Shirt Instead of A Towel
Don’t rub your hair with a towel after you have showered. Instead wrap a clean tshirt around your hair and allow it to air dry.
Your hair is at its weakest when wet and the fibers in the shirt allow the water to be absorbed, unlike a towel which causes friction. Using a shirt causes minimal damage preventing from breakage and frizz.
Brush Before You Shower – Comb After
Your hair is very brittle and weak after you shower, so brushing your hair isn’t a good idea. It’s best to brush out your hair while it is dry and then use a wide tooth comb on wet hair and to detangle knots.
Massage Your Hair with Coconut Oil
A great way to prevent from split ends and to keep your hair looking shiny and feeling soft is by massaging a small amount of coconut oil through your hair 2-3 times per week before you have showered. The coconut oil rejuvenates and keeps your locks looking shiny and feeling soft.
Vitamins for Thin/Brittle Hair
Taking a vitamin supplement such as Biotin containing vitamin B once helps to keep your hair growing strong and looking healthy. Most supplements can be found at your local vitamin shop, but it’s always best to consult with a physician first to see what works best for you.
